Alexis Cohen Found Dead
Alexis Cohen, former American Idol contestant, found dead early this morning. She is 25.
Former two-time “American Idol” contestant, Alexis Cohen, best remembered as “Glitter Girl” has been struck and killed by a car in a New Jersey shore town. It reports that Alexis Cohen, of Allentown, Pa., was killed early Saturday in Seaside Heights.
Alexis Cohen was found by the edge of a road in Seaside Heights at 4am after a driver and passenger noticed her body and called 911. She was rushed to a nearby medical center where she was officially pronounced dead at 6:30 am.
Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office says an autopsy indicated she suffered chest, head and abdominal injuries. Mohel says investigators are seeking more information about the collision.
Cohen auditioned for the seventh season of American Idol covered in Philadelphia in August 2007, and the episode was aired in January 2008. She tried out again during the show’s eighth season. Many Idol fans remembered heras she was eccentric, potty mouthed Janis Joplin wannabe who auditioned for the judges in both Season 7 and 8. Not considered a serious audition, she was dismissed both times without a golden ticket.
Alexis uploaded a video to funny or die on Friday. She posted it on her MySpace. Check it out here. It’s not only very vulgar, but a little disturbing. Apparently, Alexis tried to audition for Idol Season 9, but was turned away at the door…
