Here we have the new champion of “Dancing With the Stars”, Donny Osmond, the former pop icon. On Tuesday, at the final of contest reality program of ABC, 51 years old music star Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson got the Dancing With The Stars Winner mirror ball trophy in his hand.

Mya, singer and Grammy winner would have been disappointed as many were thinking that she will get trophy. With highest scores amongst all contestants, she was entered in final. Two celebrities remained in heading in the final of the ninth season of the show, including former congressman Tom Delay and Kelly Osbourne.

Kelly is the daughter of Ozzy Ozbourne, was the first eliminated while former congressman due to his injury had to leave the show. The winners are decided by a combination of scores by judges and the votes from viewers.

Donny Osmond will be proud to be the third Utahn to win the competition. Before him, dancer and country singer Juliana Hough was the winner of fifth season who won the competition with her partner, Helio Castronerves, a car race driver. While her brother Derek had the seventh season with talk show host and model Brooke Burke.

Marie, Osmond’s sister, had also competed in the show and got the third position at the fifth season, two years later. “I couldn’t be more proud of him,” sister Marie Osmond told KTVX. “Bless his heart. But now I’m going to have to keep him humbled.”

“I don’t have the physique of a (UFC fighter) Chuck Liddell,” Danny Osmond said. “I don’t have the youth of an (singer) Aaron Carter. But what I do have is experience. And our strategy is simple, dance well.”
