Actually, DeWayne Wise was the hero that makes Mark Buehrle’s Perfect Game in yesterday match.

Dewayne Wise was born on February 24, 1978 in Columbia, South Carolina and made his major league debut on April 6, 2000.

As we have heard yesterday, Chicago White Sox lefty Mark Buehrle threw just the 18th perfect game in MLB history on Thursday, which beating Tampa Bay Rays 5-0. One coming in the 8th when a Pat Burrell line drive landed just foul down the third base line, there were a couple of close calls. The other was when Gabe Kapler sent a ball deep to center field to lead off the 9th. Luckily, Ozzie Guillen had just put DeWayne Wise in as a defensive replacement at center.

Obviously, that was an amazing impressive catch. Don’t forget to give Ozzie credit too, for making the switch, unlike Bruce Bochy who moved Juan Uribe to third base and screwed up Jonathan Sanchez’s perfect game bid. After he threw a no-hitter two years ago, Buehrle says that he bought everyone on the team a watch. And now he’ll be buying DeWayne Wise something slightly nicer than that for sure…
