Here a news update of Erin Andrews Peephole Video Case which managed to make its way onto the Internet a couple of months ago. According to the news today, a Chicago man was arrested by FBI agents at O’Hare airport in connection with the nude videos made of Erin Andrews in her hotel room.

A 48-year-old Michael David Barrett is arrested from Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Friday, on the charge of videotaping ESPN sports reporter Erin Andrews and then publishing it on public domains with the name of “Erin Andrews peephole video”.

Michael David Barrett, now faces federal charges of interstate stalking, posting videos online, and attempting to sell the videos illegally to TMZ. Barrett is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges today in the U.S. District Court in Chicago.

He is accused of making eight videos, in Sep 2008, at a hotel room in Nashville, Tennessee, that later posted on internet. FBI agents said they have clear evidence against Michael David that he registered at the hotel, just to alter the peephole of that room door in which Erin Andrews was staying at that time but never checked in at that Milwaukee hotel.

Investigation report of FBI shows that Barrett did registered in the same hotel in Sep 2008 at the same time when Andrews was there and asked for a room adjacent to her room and he used his home address to register for that room. According to a criminal protestation, Barrett tried to sell the videos to TMZ.com but employees at the Web site informed the FBI and they are also helping in the investigation process.

Erin Andrews talks in Oprah Winfrey Show

Erin Andrews was on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in September 2009 and talks with Oprah about the peephole video. Erin said that it felt like her career is over once the nude videotape of her started circling on the Internet.

In a 10-minute segment, taped on Aug. 27, she described her reaction to finding out she’d been a victim of a peeping tom.

“I kept screaming: ‘I’m done. My career is over. I’m done. Get it off. Get it off the Internet,”‘ said Andrews, her eyes watering as she remembered talking to her father. “They thought I was physically injured, (that’s) how bad I was screaming.”

Andrews has since returned to work and her lawyer says she is planning lawsuits against whomever shot the video, as well as anyone who posts it.
