A rumor began circulating to LeBron James, a Cleveland Cavaliers marquee player had been suspended for 50 games after testing positive for steroids. And it had many of his fans worried. But it turns out the rumor is sort of half true.
In January was the source of the mix-up, Steven Lebron, a minor league baseball player picked up by the Cleveland Indians. The Dominican catcher was suspended from playing baseball for 50 games because tested positive for the steroid Boldenone metabolite. According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the Indians voided his contract at no cost.
As of Friday, LeBron James is back in the Cavs’ starting line-up to take on the Philadelphia 76ers. After suffering an ankle injury, he sat out for a week. He said that after a lot of exercise and some regeneration with no steroids involved, he’s ready to play for the rest of the season.
