Noticed as the world’s oldest blogger, Olive Riley, a 108 years old woman from Australia was died two weeks after her last post about “singing a happy song” have been published. In her blogs, Olive Riley has wrote 74 entries, firstly and later. She knows ablout blog and blogging then after a friend introduced her to blogging on the internet in early 2007, and was hooked.

As posting on her Website, she “passed away peacefully” on Saturday, July 12. No cause of death was given. “She will be mourned by hundreds of descendants, thousands of Internet friends and other relatives.”

Last month, in Woy Woy she entered a nursing home, from where she blogged about having a feeling weak and bad cough, 50 miles north of Sydney. In her last entry on June 26, Riley thanked supporters for “a whole swag of comments and e-mails from my Internet friends” and described meeting a new friend in the bed next to her.

“She and I sang a happy song, as I do every day, and before long we were joined by several nurses, who sang along too. It was quite a concert!” she posted. Her great-grandson, Darren Stone, said that Riley loved being able to stay in touch with correspondents all over the world and said she believed it kept her mind active. With this new hobby, Riley had people communicating with her from as far away as America and Russia not just once in a while, but on a continual basis.

Riley, whose born in Broken Hill, October 20 1899, in the last year blogged about raising three children regularly of her life, growing up in the outback, and working as a bartender and farm cookearlier in her life.
